CROSSFADE Complete Work On Debut Album

CROSSFADE, the new Swedish band featuring former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN vocalist Göran Edman, have completed work on their debut album, "White On Blue".

The CD, which is due before the end of the year, was recorded at Eller Studio and was mixed by Ronny Lahti (EUROPE, ROXETTE) at the Megaphone facility. Mastering was done by Björn Engelman at the Cutting Room.

"[The album] has taken us approximately two years to complete since we decided after one year to re-record the drums and bass," guitarist Lars Hallbäck said in a press release. "This meant recording the band more 'live' with the drums and bass together. After that we found that the groove had changed so much for the better that we re-did most of the other stuff as well.

"We started up with two other drummers and via the last one we got in contact with Sven Lindvall — the bass player, we cut a couple of songs with them and liked the idea with the 'live' sound. The next time we talked with Sven we asked him to check with his brother Per Lindvall about playing drums. He and Sven liked the songs so much that they decided to play with us, and are going to play on the next albums as well as all the other guys on this album."
